The 1st Bonny Investment and Tourism Expo 2025 is nearly here!

The 1st Bonny Investment and Tourism Expo 2025 AKA 1st BITE of Bonny 2025 is a groundbreaking event that aims to position Bonny Island as a premier destination for investment, trade, tourism, and business diversification in Rivers State, Nigeria, while actively promoting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The Expo will attract domestic and international investors, showcase Bonny’s unique sectors, and encourage investments to enhance the tourism infrastructure and investment climate in alignment with the SDGs.

It is currently projected to unlock over $15 billion in investment opportunities, drive over 70% conversion of indigenous businesses, attract more than 10,000 tourists to Bonny Island, and create approximately 1,500 direct and over 5,000 indirect jobs. This will empower SMEs, boost local enterprise, and contribute significantly to the GDP of both Bonny Island and Nigeria as a whole.

The first-ever Bonny Investment and Tourism Expo (BITE) took place in 2023 and was a huge success. It was a proud moment for the community, with the Amanyanabo of Grand Bonny Kingdom, King Edward Asimini William Dappa Pepple III, Perekule XI, attending as the royal guest of honour. Other notable guests included Madam Constance Nwokejiobi, President of the BonnyChamber of Commerce and several dignitaries and delegates from the Caribbean Islands and around the world.

The 2025 edition of the 1st BITE of Bonny promises to be even bigger. It will not only celebrate His Majesty’s 60th birthday, but also shine a spotlight on Bonny Island’s growing role in trade, investment, and tourism. From its economic potential to rich cultural heritage, Bonny Island is quickly becoming a key destination on the map. This years edition of BITE will also feature industry-led workshops, a golf tournament, boat regatta, and a fun social media challenge with up to ₦100,000 up for grabs! Whether you’re an investor, entrepreneur, tourist, or simply curious, BITE 2025 offers something for everyone.

The acronym BITE stands for – Bonny Investment and Tourism Expo. It is a 5-day event that is held in Bonny Island to showcase its amazing potential through Commerce, Culture and Tourism. It aims to position Bonny Island on a global map that attracts great investment opportunities and bolsters trade partnerships between indigenous entrepreneurs and SMEs on the island.

Delegates from COSSCIMA, NACCIMA, Afreximbank, the Bahamas, and St. Kitts and Nevis will be in attendance.
